Yes, tour tickets are sold until 24 hours before the desired tour’s start time. For example, if you are taking the Saturday Farmer’s Market Tour from 11am to 2pm, you must register and pay by Friday at 11am. Please pay in advance using our paypal purchase tickets links. If paying online, you can use Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover. If you would like to pay using a personal check, call us.
Tours go on rain or shine. In the chance of rare weather conditions, such as hail, sleet, snow or any other extreme weather causing the tour venues not to open, the tour will be canceled. All you will have to do is rebook your tour.
Yes, 21 is the legal drinking age; therefore, Athens Food Tours will not accommodate anyone under 21 for our Thirsty Thursday tours. Tour guides and bar employees reserve the right to check your id. No fakes, no cry-babies.
No problem! Just e-mail us prior to your tour to notify us of any food allergies and our tour guide will do his or her job to arrange substitutes for you.
Yes! We accommodate for vegetarians. Simply e-mail us prior to your tour to let us know and we’ll have vegetarian options waiting for you at every stop.
Of course! Please e-mail or call us to arrange a private tour. Minimum number for a private tour is 12, maximum 16 people. If you have more than 16 people you want to host, we can accomodate you. Just call 706-338-8054 to explore food tour options for larger tours.
Hmmmm... you bet! Tipping your tour guide at the end of the tour is greatly appreciated, though not required.

Yes! Your food tour ticket purchase in all-inclusive. We pay the restaurants for your food, drink and entertainment. We also tip our servers at restaurants. If you would like to tip, please tip your tour guide at the end of your tour.
Yes, beverages are provided at each stop. However we encourage you to stay hydrated and bring your own water bottle, especially on warm days.
Yes, we strive for everyone to have a well-rounded fun time. We provide beer and cocktail tastings at some of our food tour venues. The portions and frequency of these beverages vary depending on the tour you have chosen to attend. However, if you are feeling especially thirsty, you may purchase additional beverages on your own tab. Food Tour drinking age is 21, no cry-babies. Tour guides will check id’s.
We visit only locally owned, preferably sourced restaurants. Your tour guide will supply you with a list of the highlighted restaurants on your tour so you can take notes, revisit or contact the restaurants after the tour. Please see tour descriptions for more details.
We do start tours on time; therefore, we ask you arrive at your tour meeting location 15 minutes prior to the tour. Please call us if you are running late. If you are running late, call us again when you have parked your car and are ready to join the group. Your tour guide will then give you directions to find him or her on the already in-progress tour.
Sorry, tours are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled because your space is being reserved at the event. We suggest if you are not going to be able to make your tour due to scheduling conflicts or sickness, you may send someone in your place. If you do send someone in your place, you must contact Athens Food Tours so we have your substitutes’ name on our tour list.
We ask that you refrain from smoking during your food tour as a courtesy to other tour patrons.
