I have gone on the down town food tour twice with Mary Charles and Athens Food Tour. Not only is it an incredible deal (I paid 36 bucks for three straight hours of eating) but the food is amazing and varied. Even though I did the "same" tour twice, there was only one repeat (La Dolce Vita which is delicious). What really makes the experience special is the tour guide. Mary Charles seemed to know each owner at every stop and numerous interesting facts about each establishment and the food we were eating. To top everything off, each place we went too treated us like VIPs. Just a testament to how well prepared and thought out the tour is before hand. Could not oversell this experience!

Out of town family joined us locals for the tour, and we all absolutely enjoyed it. Mary Charles made the sampling of the different restaurants both informative and fun. Even those of us who have lived in Athens for over 10 years, and been to several of the places tried things that we never would have chosen...and were not disappointed. The amount of walking was not too much for the grandparents among us either. LOVED THE TOUR!!!!!!

I visited a friend in Athens this weekend. What an unexpected treat. It was absolutely a must do. What a great way to experience the local fare of downtown Athens restaurants. Food, drinks, new friends and an awesome guide through what must be the best of Athens. I could not believe the value.

We had a reunion in Athens and this was the perfect way to experience the city. I tried new food, met new friends, and learned quite a lot about the Athens food scene. I can't wait to try another tour. If you are thinking about doing a tour, I highly recommend it. It made our weekend!
As an Athens local, I was skeptical about going on a food tour. However, I AM SO GLAD I WENT! Mary Charles took us to restaurants that I had never been to before (which had since become some of my favorite places in Athens to eat) and I tried food I would never have ordered on my own. I cannot wait to go on another food tour AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
