Wee Woods Farm: Goat Cheese

Delivery from Wee Woods Farm.I met Lu Flaherty this summer (2011) when she came on a Downtown Tour with her brother. Ms. Farmer Lu and I hit it off from the start. She is super easy going, smart and had just started a goat farm! What's not to love? Visiting her farm has been on my "to-do" list ever since we met (even though I've yet to make it out).

Today Ms. Farmer Lu sent me the most delicious chevre in the mail! I couldn't get it open fast enough. In the package were two flavors:

Chocolate Rasberry Swirl.

Dill & Garlic.

Since I go for more savory flavors, the Dill & Garlic is my favorite. However, you've got to try the Chocolate Rasberry Swirl, which tastes like ice cream even though its cheese. So wonderful.

Here you can get cuddly with some of the cutest goats you’ve ever seen! Ms. Farmer Lu will introduce you to her herd and offer samples of chevre in different flavors including both Nigerian Dwarf and Oberhasli Goats.  Offering the highest butterfat, sample the creamiest milk ever from the Nigerians Dwarfs and discover what these little knee high miniatures can produce.
